With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

Dave’s Hot Chicken is a decent spot if you’re looking for Nashville-style hot chicken in Charlotte. The place has a fun, vibrant atmosphere, and the service was friendly and efficient. The first thing I noticed when we came through the door was the sanitary rating of 💯. The facility was clean and had a friendly personnel. My husband and I visited for the first time. He had the sandwich and fries, and I had Dave's Chicken Bites with fries. Their sauce that comes with each meal is delicious and not hot. My husband ordered a medium hot sauce. Came here for the first time the other day. Had heard really good things about it. The service was great. Our cashier was friendly and helpful. We were able to sit outside because the weather was nice enough. The food was a little disappointing. I found that the chicken was over seasoned with cumin. It was about all I could taste. The food definitely looked better than it tasted. I really liked the fries and the Dave’s sauce though.
BOMB dot com! My fiance and I came here today and I got the #1 medium spicy and he got the #3 medium spicy, with mac & cheese. Wow. It was so good. We aren't privilaged to good chicken like this where we are from. We loved that it was real juicy chicken. Also, the customer service here was amazing, very friendly girls with friendly smiles. We will definitely come back.
Xio, Sean, and the staff were the best... this was my first experience at Dave's Hot chicken. The music was good, the food was AMAZING, it was hot and above all it was fresh, I started with the mild to see how it would be and it was off the charts good.
