My friend and I were able to get in on a Friday night, and I felt the experience was very good. The service was prompt and the ambiance was definitely classy and East Bay. I think the tables were slightly close to each other, creating an intimate environment but also easier to hear others talk. I was not super impressed with the food, but I think this is personal and my experience is not universal.
Quality thai food at affordable prices. They have plenty of dinner specials and a separate menu for vegetarian food. We really liked their pork belly and they had some great sauce in their curries. Note that rice doesn't come with the entree. We had the chicken wings as an appetizer, and I think that was sadly not as good as I would've hoped. Some of the best Thai food I’ve had. Very nice room, food wasn’t too sweet, and portions were generous. Standouts were the Basil Lettuce Wraps, the Khao Soi noodle special, and the Chicken Pad Se Ew
Charm Thai Bistro is a relatively small restaurant that serves many of the dishes somewhat similar to what you can find in Street Food in Thailand. Everything we tried was delicious. The Crab Fried rice had a lot of actual crab meat and was really tasty. The Panang curry with beef and Prawn Mango salad were also very good. The parking lot outside has a sign that states that it is a “High Theft Lot” ! Be aware of that.
Ordered food to pick up from Charm on Saturday night and it was all delicious and freshly made. The crispy taro and yam starter was a treat as were our main dishes of veggie fried rice, green curry and praram tofu. All were perfectly cooked with quality ingredients and fresh & ready for pick up within 20 minutes. We’re definitely ordering from Charm Thai Bistro again.
