I would not recommend. Very dismissive in hearing my concerns. Not only that, but his general knowledge of even simple matters such as blood type is lacking. Insisted that I was not O RH- blood type and that it is not possible to be O RH- with two O RH+ blood type parents. It is in fact possible (albeit rare) if both parents have the RH- gene but do not express it. Blood type was then confirmed by nurse to be O RH-. I would stay away if he can not even handle something as simple as blood type.
Doesn't interact with patient fully. I had bad experience, went for a simple checkup and she performed a biopsy before I could think as to what is happening and why am I being treated for it. No correct knowledge providing on why a procedure is conducted and how to take care of it later. Had pus in a few days and had to take antibiotics prescribed by the nurse.

Today 5/29/20 I called as a new Patient. The lady who answered the phone was so mean, rude and disrespectful, that not calling them back!
Was extremely rude for the few appointments I had with him while pregnant. Saw me for less than two minutes for the confirmation appointment. When I miscarried and he had to assist in removing the physical matter from my cervix as I was having a difficult time passing it naturally, I was in a lot of discomfort and pain, to which he responded, "This shouldn't hurt." I found that really offensive because I was in a lot of pain, and I have a hard time believing that he has had a miscarriage before and knows how it feels. At the... read more
Would not recommend this doctor. She put me through the worst pain I have ever experienced then had the nerve to say "don't be a baby."
Dr. Atkins is very knowledgeable about the condition I saw him for. He offered me options that were helpful to me
I do not believe that Dr. Atkins takes his patients nor their concerns seriously. I was in need of a colposcopy following a reoccurring, very concerning pap. He talked about random things, more social than professional. I did not feel that anything got accomplished with my visit. I had to reschedule a week later with a different member of the practice.
I would give him 0 stars if I could. He horrible to me and told me it was my fault I was in pain with endometriosis. He rufused to listen to me and I felt he was sexist!
