I've lived here since September 2022, and I've enjoyed it. I just signed a new lease, and the rent only went up $50 a month, which was a relief. Any work we need done is fixed immediately. The only trouble I've had is that sometimes one of the washers or dryers is out of order, but there are four of each, so that hasn't been too terrible; we also just got brand new ones a few months ago. Chestnut Hill North is a clean, safe, quiet, and conveniently located place to live. I have been living here since 1998 and I never had anything to complain about of any significance. All the maintenance staff are very diligent in their work. I especially I want to command John Upatoff the super of Chestnut Hill North. He really went the extra mile to get my maintenance issue resolved. He did an excellent job!
Great apartments, quiet neighborhood, close to shops. The super, Louis, is so helpful, responsive, and professional. I always felt confident whatever my issue, Louis would be able to handle it. The snow cleaning is always on point. Knock on wood, never had any issues with packages, nor did I see any bears. Its about at 25 min drive to Yale Campus, but if drive CT reckless speed, then maybe 15. There is also a bike path that leads directly to the campus. Not recommended unless you want to shut off your windows all the time without opening them because you may periodically inhale smoke. People constantly smoke cigarettes or marijuana during the night in the building, even though they claim that it is a non-smoking property.
