I was shocked to see CDC had such a low rating on Yelp until I read the reviews. I'm not sure how you can blame a daycare facility for the high demand for childcare in Mt Pleasant but I got on the waitlist and was admitted within 1.5 years. My baby loves this place and I cannot imagine taking her anywhere else, they have the best teachers and admin!

The Executive director, director, and assistant director at both locations are extremely knowledgeable and kind. All the staff members go above and beyond to make sure my child's needs are met. Everyone at CDC is so welcoming and makes sure my child learns what they need for the next chapter.

Children's Discovery Center has been our home away from home for the past three years and we couldn't ask for a better place to help raise our two boys! They love the activities, classmates, lessons, play centers, etc. but most importantly, they truly love the teachers and staff and feel right at home with their second family! Avoid this place. They'll steal your 100.00 non refundable waiting list payment. You'll never get a call. When you call to complain they'll state they have a 1-2 year wait list. My biology class taught me gestation was 9 months. Scam artists. Don't trust them with your most precious child.

I called this morning, to inquire about putting my unborn infant child on the waitlist and the lady who answered was extremely rude. She assertively told me that they were on a 2 year waitlist and they are not accepting anyone on their waitlist and she hung up. I am not sure how tongue can't accept anyone for a infant application. It does not make sense!!! They shouldn't have a two year wait on infants?!!!! Apparently they do not know how to run a business efficiently.

It is sad and concerning that the daycare supply in Mt Pleasant is so low that this business gets away with their admissions and waitlist practice. Make no mistake, you want your child at a daycare that looks like they do and I'm sure there are wonderful teachers and caretakers there... But their waitlist/enrollment practices, communications and overall management is one only tolerable in a severely low supply market.
