We had such a nice experience here yesterday. Excellent service, tasty food and such a cute place. We consider ourselves Korean fried chicken addicts. We have tried pretty much every wing in town. IMO these We good but not great. The breading was crispy but too thick. The chicken meats flavor was just ok. Dipping sauce should have been sweet to offset the spice. The dumplings were onfire!! A bit too spicy but great flavor. I would offer them steamed as well as fried and serve a dipping sauce? Thank you, we will be back!!
We had a fantastic dining experience at Chingu! Every dish we tried was absolutely delicious. Opting for a family-style approach, we indulged in multiple cocktails and got to savor a variety of delectable items from the menu. Our server was exceptionally kind and provided us with fantastic recommendations, guiding us through the diverse options. Honestly, you can't go wrong with anything on the menu. It's such a delight to find high-quality Korean food right here in Kansas City.
We arrived for an early dinner, and the owner greeted us very warmly. We hoped to try the custom-made SoJu but they were sold out. He was so kind to pour us a tiny sipping taste which we thoroughly enjoyed. The waitress was wonderful and helped us order a ridiculous amount of food because everything sounded so good. The food taste as great as the pictures look. Great date night or a place to catch up with a friend. They have a few 5-6 group seating but wouldn’t recommend a large party. The food is served family style, traditional for Koreans. The drinks are also fun and unique. If you are looking for a Korean American approved restaurant, I highly recommend!
As a wedding photographer, this is easily one of the best places I’ve seen host a wedding reception party! It almost goes without saying that the food and drinks were incredible, but the staff was SO on top of things for this party. The place was 100% ready to go with hot appetizers out when the wedding got there and decorated spectacularly. All the dinner courses were right on time.
