Because there is room for improvement in the process. In a world where identity theft is rampant, the loan underwriter should call clients to identify themselves first, before sending an email requesting/demanding immediate attention to e-sign documents. This is just good business sense. People are happy to comply when they can trust the source of who is sending a request, why, and for what.
