For your own sake, heed this warning. This is the most hateful, descriminating and predatory management company imaginable. If you are white, dont even do a showing. They lie, cheat, fraud, and refuse to do maintenance for months on end. They report false lease violations, late payments, and "evictions" to prevent future leasing at other companies, if they even cooperate enough to let you out of their entrapment lease. Every maintenance team member has been wonderful. They are almost always out to assess the issue within hours and have it fixed promptly as well. Most recent visit was from Talley (I've had another team member the last two times and he was wonderful as well). They're all very personable and efficient at their jobs and I appreciate all their help!
It has been a REALLY long time since I have seen a property management company in Kansas City, MO's inner-city offer equitable housing options, human-centered care, quick responses and complete their tasks. Wendy is an absolutely wonderful property management contact. She always finds an answer for any question I have. She answers promptly and I feel I have more than just a business relationship since she is friendly as well as professional. We have been with CJ property management for many years and Wendy is by far the best contact we have ever had in any department of the organization.
PROPERTY OWNERS BEWARE My experience with CJ Real Estate has been extremely disappointing, especially for anyone expecting transparency, accountability, or trustworthy property management. Over the last two months, I attempted to work with their team to resolve issues related to incomplete make‑ready work and a failed City occupancy inspection.
