I've been in my apartment approx. 4 months now. I wanted to live here a couple of months before submitting a review. I started looking for an apartment in Dec. '23.....first time I've been in one since 1976...lol I met with Monet back in December and she became familiar with what units I'd be interested in....when she called me in February of '24 I was surprised. no a/c for about 24 hrs. turns out that the buildup of sludge in the a/c drain was the cause. About 1 month prior to this event, the carpet got wet due to the same sludge buildup. I am concerned.....do I need to check the pipe and clean it to assure my a/c works? advice is needed.....

I have lived here for two years and this is place is fantastic! Out of all the places I've lived in Durham the past five years, this has been the best experience. Laura and Kim in the leasing office are always proactive and great listeners with the needs of residents. These ladies definitely deserve a raise! During the pandemic the complex took great measures to keep us safe. Also, they do monthly giveaways or pandemic safe activities to create a sense of community. The apartments are also very modern and for a great price.

The kitchen sink began leaking. I submitted a maintenance request, which was very simple to do, and they came the next day to fix it. All is working well now. Excellent customer service.

It’s the customer service for me from the time I call to the time I enter the office in person! Kim and Laura work together as a team and they are very welcoming. Nice area, clean new appliances… so far so good can’t wait to move in!

Maintenance team members, Jeff and Nelson. are very friendly, empathic yet extremely professional and competent. Ms. Laura and Ms. Kim continue to provide exceptional "pro-active" service in response to problems or potential issues affecting the comfort level at Hillandale. I lived here for almost five years and absolutely love it!
