I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident My mother-in-law is at Claremore Nursing Home. It's a very clean facility. The food is decent. They have a lot of activities, and they're always interacting with their clients. They have a central nursing desk. Each hallway has direct access to it, and each hallway has humidifiers. So far, we're pretty pleased with the care. As with every long-term care facility we looked at, there's always a lack of employees. I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident My mother-in-law went to the Claremore Nursing Home. She didn't like it there very much because first of all, she had to have a roommate and the rooms were very small. There was room for a bed, and we were able to bring in her recliner and that was it, then it was the other person's room. The food was OK, but it wasn't good. I am a friend or relative of a resident We have my mother in to assisted living place right now and that is The Brookfield. We went in and looked at several, and this one looked like they had caring people. They had a clean facility and good food. This would be a nice place, and it was very clean and well-kept. She is in a private room. They have their specials everyday, and then you can also order off the menu if you want. I am a friend or relative of resident My grandfather was in this facility for 9days. He was there to receive physical therapy. What they did was put him in a diaper which he was never in before, which has now caused him to have a cathador (foley) in permanently. They would stick him in a wheelchair that was too small. My grandfather is a big guy 350+ pounds. They were giving him his meds even though he was eating his meals. We found him doped up on pain meds and unable to participate in physical therapy because of it. He the... read more

I am a friend or relative of resident Three days after my grandmother was moved from a hospital (where she spent 6 days in the ICU, then 4 in a regular room) to this nursing home; she was right back in the ICU. The nursing staff disregarded our plea to check her blood sugar, saying they didn't have an order to check it; but, they kept giving her diabetic medications. Not only would they refuse to check her blood sugar, they wouldn't let her bring in her blood sugar testing kit from home. FINALLY, she was throwing u... read more
