I traveled here from out of state seeking specialized trauma treatment that I was told set this facility apart from others. Unfortunately, my experience was the exact opposite of what was advertised. Before admission, I was sent a video featuring Claudia Black explaining how this program focuses on uncovering trauma behind addiction and why it is different from other facilities. Unfortunately a missed opportunity to be a great treatment center. Came here for basically an intensive and retreat to improve my mental health and got several attempts to dispute personal info of mine on things such as my family history, and personal life experiences, etc. Multiple attempts were made to diagnose me with major mental illnesses that I have no symptoms of, telling me that facts about my family and personal life experiences are delusions. I was completely mistreated and misdiagnosed in 2023 by their clinical team. I (unknowingly at the time) have OCD, and compulsively speak to myself frequently. They all associated this with schizophrenia like symptoms? For someone who doesn’t struggle being in reality and socializing, it was pretty wild to have multiple people think i was schizophrenic or schizoaffective off of talking to myself frequently when alone. My daughter just completed her 45 days at the Claudia Black Center and it was a life changing experience for her and the family. The treatment team's priority was my daughter's well being and that message was clear when hard conversations were had with her and with us as her parents. The family work was invaluable. They don't tell you what you want to hear they tell you what you need to hear. Not everyone can handle that and it wasn't always easy but it was worth it. Trust the process.

well I was here and then later five years later Cerritos college hospital Claudia Black treatment center again for two months and it was only a one month program I did it twice in a row because I knew that I needed it. It helped me a great deal however I did not take their advice and run from my family as fast as I can as soon as I got back and never look back. If I had followed their advice I would've had a 10 times better life with less trauma and abuse from my own family. I love their treatment center you get what you put... read more
