He is horrible! I’ve seen him twice when my doctor isn’t available and he needs to work on his bedside manner!! I went in for back pain that muscle relaxers and pain killers weren’t working and he was only going to “prescribe “ physical therapy! All I wanted was a steroid to get the pain under control, as I am going on a road trip to say goodbye to my father. I will NOT see him again nor recommend him to anyone
The lack of bedside manners is one thing but this man went way beyond that. My husband is 72 yrs old with stage 4 cancer. We had a hospice visit and were told we may want to see his PCP before making a decision to go on hospice or wait. We went to discuss the decision with Dr Butterfield and he spoke to my husband like he was ignorant.... almost laughing at his questions. A doctor should listen, treat patients with respect, have a little compassion and educate a patient without belittling them. He did NONE of that!
Colin is pompous and totally clueless about thyroid issues. They sure do not send their best and brightest to OSF in Alton/Godfrey. When you think you know everything, and he clearly does not, it's hard to learn something new, as in there is much more to thyroid treatment than just knowing TSH levels. RUN, do not walk, away from this guy who is in medicine for a paycheck and that is all.
This man should not be practicing medicine. He almost killed my wife with his total disregard and as I’m typing this out I’m praying that his total disregard isn’t killing me. He’s by far the most incompetent doctor I’ve ever known.
Dr Butterfield is rude and insensitive to his patients needs. Doesn't listen. Cuts you off in mid-sentence. Failed to follow-up on cardiology tests he had ordered even after a call to his office.
Dr. Butterfield displays a vast knowledge of clinical studies and provides care based on that information.
