TO LIVE AND FRY IN L.A. In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept — take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

Really solid food. Took forever to move through the line on the day I was there but once I actually placed my order it came very quick. I will say that the spicy level was inconsistent; I ordered the reaper, which requires you to sign a goofy waiver, and the first sandwich I had was spicy but not unbearable. The second one was very very spicy (which is what I wanted, but it didn't make sense that it was tame the first time).
The team is always amazing here and makes sure to meet my every need! The food is always on point and they even helped me when my phone died once and I had to use Apple Pay! As a vegetarian it’s very hard to find fast food options but this is definitely one of my favorites!!
I got the reaper and it was an absolute hottest thing I ever got. You literally have to sign a waiver to order the reaper... The chicken was good though it has an excellent crunch and extremely moist. I got the very hot and mild as well. The very hot was pretty toasty but enjoyable. Mild was good as well. Definitely worth a try, but don't get the reaper, I'm serious 🥵😭
Place was clean and the cashier Ben was super helpful! Tasted great too. Overall great experience. I don’t even like coleslaw but it’s fire here
I visited this place with my boyfriend a week or two ago, and right away, we were welcomed by one of the nicest cashiers I've ever met. His name was Trey, and he was incredibly kind and genuine—it was clear he was happy to be there and to help us. We later found out it was his first day, but you never would’ve guessed it with how well he handled everything!
