By locating Costa Coffee within Next, Costa is injected with a vibrancy that you won’t find in your standard store. It’s busy to boot. I wasn’t sure if this was because the staff were new, or just because they were laid back. Nothing wrong with the latter. Given my temperament I went elsewhere for a cup of Costa Coffee. Why did I choose Costa. Convenience. My usuals were closed and I had a free coffee coupon to use. Anyway, because of the queue size I foxtrot-ed Oscar to another Costa venue.
Great Coffee and Atmosphere, but Can Get Busy I recently visited Costa Coffee at the Bullring, and overall, it was a great experience. The coffee was well-made, smooth, and at the perfect temperature. The staff were friendly and efficient, even during busy periods. The seating area was comfortable, making it a nice spot to take a break while shopping. However, it does get quite crowded, especially on weekends, so finding a seat can be a challenge. I ordered hot chocolate which tastes so good and a cinnamon bun. The crew who took my order is nice and polite. When I finished my bun, I was just having a quiet time at the corner and my hot choco is almost finish, suddenly the lady held my tray and then she said that she's going to take it now. I haven't got a chance to respond because she's already holding my tray and my cup is not totally empty yet. To the crew here, please ask first if the customer is finished BEFORE holding the tray. I find it rude.
Coffee was surprisingly good - and the lemon cake too! Distancing measures were strictly respected and tables were rigorously cleaned as soon as a client left. Only downside, it's quite loud but that's unavoidable being right in the middle of the Bullring.
Hard to miss with the name spelled out in rather large white letters. One of my favourite Costas, as it's completely open, and great for enjoying a coffee/cake and doing a spot of people watching.
