On Thursday (20/11) at around midday I walked to the additional seating area as there were no seats available at the front a young male member of staff screamed at me ‘are you going to buy something?’. I found this very rude and aggressive as it is normal for a customer to check if they can sit down before they order something. Best coffee I've had for months. An unassuming Costa, but what a service, open early in the morning, it's the only cafe I found in Bristol centre open that early. Superb flat white, with expertly foamed milk and a kick of caffeine, what more does one want.
Location! Location! Location! Everyone knows Costa. I recommend this one only for the location if you can find the table alongside the window. Stunning view of the College green, cathedral, city hall….especially under the rainy day or bad weather (too windy), it’s the best choice on the street. P.S.: cake and coffee taste average, money for rent the best seat is okay.
On this morning, it was very rainy. And it was such a comfort that this place was open. The guys who were at the counter seemed kind and were helpful. A lovely place to get to be on a rainy day
Today I bought a toastie and coffee and sat with my friends in there cafe we was polite and respectful and she spoke rudely to us and I felt like everyone was watching us in public it was disgusting behaviour from a staff member we hadn’t even been in there for any longer than half an hour the tables were left dirty and lazy behaviour and attitude other staff was good but to tell me to move when I have paid to sit and eat my food whilst it’s raining because people’s waiting for there take away coffees I’m not impressed
