Reading other people’s reviews, I was nervous about Cove Apartments, but I decided to tour the building and eventually apply for an apartment. I have been here for a few months and have been fortunate to have an incredibly positive experience. The application process was easy, people in management are communicative, kind/approachable, and respond to emails quickly (within a few hours), and maintenance requests have been resolved efficiently. Honestly, when I first moved into this apartment the management was AWFUL and you were lucky if you ever got a call back from the manager on site. At that time, I would’ve given a 2 star review back then too. HOWEVER, ever since Shiprock has taken over management, it has been SO much better. They are so responsive and helpful with whatever is needed. I have had some problems w/ things in the past and they always get back to me the same day. the building is beautiful, the units are so nice, the location is wonderful, but the management is horrendous. it’s so sad to have such an amazing building be ruined by something that is so fixable. i have had countless small problems that would be so easy to take care of if they would just answer emails and texts. there will be weeks upon weeks where you do not hear back from them, and i have chatted with other tenants and they are experiencing the same issues. i am an understanding person, if it happens one or two times…no... read more

I had the same experience as the previous reviewer: applied for an apartment, had the security deposit immediately deducted from my checking account, and was ghosted for days. However, I eventually heard back from the leasing office. My advice is to wait to apply until you've had contact with an actual person in the management office. It seems the issue is the automated systems in place work faster than the staffing levels can keep up with.

I got scammed by Cove I’m not usually one to write reviews, but I hope it can be helpful to someone. I applied to an apartment here and it said the security deposit would be taken out of my bank account automatically if I got approved for the apartment. I thought it was shady to demand a security deposit to be paid on an application, but I went through with it anyways.
