We recently purchased our first home through Cubitt and West, and as first-time buyers, we felt well-informed and supported throughout the process. After visiting several other estate agents, we often felt like we were being used as bait for bidding wars, but that wasn’t the case here. We bought our house in Woodingdean, with Cubitt and West at the helm of the purchase in October 24. The team were responsive and helpful- John O'neil, Lisa Mears, Gary Wheeler, Sarah and Barbara, gave us the right advice about the area, good advice when negotiating the price and helped us manage an additional hiccup with the boiler. If you're selling/buying in the area, it's definitely worth having a chat with the team.
Our sale ended up taking a lot longer than expected due to a chain collapse on the verge of the initial completion. We can’t blame the agents for this but sometimes communication with us and across the chain could have been better. However, when the sales progressor was changed to Garry Wheeler the improvement in communication and ultimate progress to exchange of contracts felt much smoother and less stressful.
