The experience was horrible. I literally had to ask the representatives to leave my house because they would not stop with the high pressure sales pitch. I am not sure, but I would presume they are paid on commission because they really wanted me to write them a check today before they left. Got the standard "what would it take..." routine. They seem to have a script or formula they have to follow in their presentations and they do not know how to deviate from it in response to actual customer feed back. First, DeBella is not the only place to get a GAF certified roof system, I would go elsewhere. This was the worse customer service and communication experience ever. It was obvious they deal with economy of scale when it comes to how they treat customers. Most reviews appear to be done before any work has been done, because the sales people ask you to write a review based on the sales experience. The roof itself looked nice but we were informed after they finished that they needed to come back to finish the chimney. When they did, it was completed in such a sloppy manner, unprofessionally done with lots of gaps in the flashing and poor control of sealant spray. I have many pictures. There was no follow up post-job to see if we were happy with the work. We received a certification of their warranty in the mail after it was "inspected". This review system is entirely messed up! You "force" a review...and we haven't even had the work done yet! The "review form" limited the cost of our job....which we found acceptable. How many companies....'get the shaft' because your protocols are not realistic! SO FRUSTRATED with Angie's list! NOT DABELLA!
This is a follow up to ohr review from June 10. Decided not to go with their offer, it turned out to be 40% higher vs others. Also they did not responded to questions regarding the offer in a timely maner, overstated some of the waranty items.
Had an estimate for new roofing done. For one, it was a pressure sale and they were at my house for almost 2 hours telling me how good their product was and how great their company was, of course with 3 ring binders, news clips, photos, etc. Took way too long for this estimate and the estimate was ridiculously high. My house is 32 squares. They wanted $28,000 for roofing and gutters. They wanted $6000 for normal gutters. The lowest they would get on roofing was $18500. DaBella's staff were professional and polite. The hard sell was a turn off, however. Their quote came in $10K over my next highest bid. By the time they left they had come down $4K. They led me to believe several of their products were exclusive, which is not the case. Tried to sell me on their product being superior and as a company always being there. The two salesman were pushy and wanted us to sign that day. My husband spent 3 hours with them, they came back for the two of us and spent another 3 hours. They said it would only take one hour. We finally got a bid of $43,000, but when we said we were getting other bids, they dropped it to $36,000. When we said we would get back to them, I asked if they had given me the estimate on the lowest price shingle. They had not. Then price dropped to $32,000. HUGE SALES PUSH!!! More so than any company we had for out for quotes ever. 2 hour appointment is coming your way for a quote that will be more than double any other quote you get. Guys seemed nice and professional but set aside the better part of your day for this visit.
