This place is horrible. Even before Covid scheduling drive times was a nightmare. Now it pretty much doesn't exist. My son was never able to schedule drive times for after school or weekends. They made no accommodations for him and then advised me I'd have to pay an additional $100 on top of already paying for a service he NEVER received. Take my advise and don't use them for drivers education. Horrible experience and I will never recommend them to anyone!

The Driving School of North Texas on El Dorado managed by Stephen Hilz is not somewhere I would recommend based upon the lack of communication from them and Mr. Hilz when I had a concern. I paid the $400 to sign my daughter up for the online course package. I neglected to schedule her driving times, so once my contract had expired (you have so many days to get this all done) they sent me a letter saying that in order to avoid starting over and paying again, I could pay them $75.00 additional and get an extension. I had my first lesson today with Arlene Peaks and she was extremely rude so I would not recommend any students to drive with her. She would constantly roll her eyes when you ask her to clarify her instructions and she would talk quietly so it was hard to hear her. She yelled at me constantly throughout the drive which made me really nervous and anxious throughout the drive. I literally cried when I came back home since it was such a terrible first experience. By the way, this is the McKinney location.

Arlene Peaks is an awful driving instructor, DO NOT let your child in the car with her! My son attends driving school at the McKinney location currently. He had his 2nd drive time with Arlene Peaks last week (the 1st drive time with Sean was wonderful). When I picked him up he was red-faced, in tears, because Arlene had cursed at him while he was driving, reached across his body while he was driving and slapped the blinker down, and continuously slammed on the brakes causing him distress. arlene peaks is so rude and i do not recommend signing up to drive with her!!!! the bad thing is, SHE TAKES UP HALF THE MONTH SO YOU HAVE NO CHOICE! she cusses at you and throws a temper tantrum if things don't go her way. PLEASE READ REVIEW Before you purchase!!!! The "Bundle" package isn't worth it and 8 months isn't long effort given the drive time restrictions. "For the most part" your student will only be able schedule 2 driver times per month as DSNT is "busy". Plan that in your schedule. The drive time calendar is regularly full, only other option is to be on standby for cancellations. This is the worst place you can go to for driving lessons. They are always booked..and can only take two lessons per month. And the cancellation are $25 which is so uncomfortable. I can't ever book a lesson and been trying to finish for about a year. This whole year I have wasted $100 on late fees. They changed my username and password without permission...which is why I couldn't cancel. This school is totally going downhill. Instruction (classroom and in the car) is good but forget about having a positive interaction with the office staff. They (Tammy) are happy to let you know that you are more of a nuisance than a customer. Obviously we did not get the school with the "customer service" training. If you decide to use this school, you need to set your expectations correctly. Your teenager will learn to drive and learn the rules of the road. So pay for it, grin and bear it, and then move on. Very bad service. Not allow kids to schedule more than two drive time within one month is ridiculous. My daughter said the schedule was so full, she could not sign up any drive time during the past three month. She has 4 drive times need to be scheduled before they expire at the end of this month. However, she could only scheduled two. She was told to wait for cancellations, if there is no cancellations, she has to pay the extend fee.
