We just had our Tiki Hut built by Dan The Tiki Man, and we definitely recommend them! Our salesman Mike, was amazing, from start to finish. He was always available to answer questions and relay information to us. When things arose with the permitting or any issue, he was there to take care of it. After contacting a different Tiki hut builder to get an estimate for a tiki at our Florida keys house and waiting several days for a call back and then waiting for the other company to show up which they never did show I contacted “Dan the tiki man”. Gisella who answered the phone said that Dan could stop by that day to give us an estimate. My project started a year ago, and was supposed to be completed August 2023….its now June 2024, and it’s still not complete! Stay away!!! It’s one delay after another, and it’s not due to weather or permits or supplies. He just over promises and under delivers. I just want my job done!
We had the absolute worst experience working with this company! Asked them to build a tiki, deck, roof extension and impact windows/doors installation. They failed to show up repeatedly and would not notify us that they were not coming. They left our backyard a hazard area for over 6 months with little to no work being performed. The work (aside from the tiki) was well below average. They failed 11 inspections with Monroe County Building and Permitting department.
