Basically, this place is for people who just like spicy food to blast their taste buds. Medium spicy is more like hot, and I eat a lot of spicy Thai and Mexican foods, so I know medium. There's really no reason to have three levels spicier than that unless the food is more for spicy-addicts than for flavor, and that's exactly what this is. This place was outstanding! The chicken was the perfect level of spicy and their sauce was perfect with the chicken. Finished all the fries as well since they were crunchy and well fried.

Located in KTown LA, Dave's is a staple chicken spot for all the locals--we were visiting my boyfriend's brother who lives nearby, and he highly recommended this place! Parking is quite difficult, as the plaza is usually full, but we were able to pretty easily find street parking just a block down. The area is a bit seedy, but honestly, that's where the best restaurants are always located. Ordering took place at the counter, and then you find a seat to wait until your number is called. Not the nicest area, and parking is tough, as others have said, but it was quick and very reasonably priced, and the chicken, fries, and kale slaw were on point. The mac and cheese was decent but not great; we didn't get a chance to try the other sides. Definitely a good option if you're nearby.

I just think it's like every other chicken place I'm not a big fan and I don't like the chicken it's dipped in some sort of powder it makes it a powdery Chicken I'm just not a fan

Solid tasting fried chicken, with actual juicy chicken and a wide range of 'spiciness'. Based on what 8 tried: the mild chicken will give you a low note of hot sauce flavor, the medium gives a larger note of hot sauce flavor without the burn, and the hot turns the heat up a notch and you start to feel it around your mouth and lips but nothing more. Daves's hot chicken on Western is awesome. The menu is easy to navigate. You have your choices of chicken tenders and or sandwiches. I come here at least two times a week. And I also got my coworkers hooked on this place. The ease of placing an order online and just picking it up is very convenient. The XtraHot chicken tenders are the best. And the seasoning used on the fries is very delicious. The workers are always very attentive and pleasant. I highly recommend Dave's hot chicken.

The food is awesome. Super spicy and crunchy chicken. I love the sliders and the boneless wings. The only reason I give 4 of 5 stars is because I wanted to have a beer with my meal, they had beer brand neon lights in the windo but when I ordered food, they had no beer. At least turn the beer lights off if there is no beer.

We were pretty excited to try this place because of the raving reviews. We got in line around 11 PM on a Saturday night which was out the door. It moved pretty fast and the food came out in a reasonable amount of time. We got it to go but ate it right away when we got home. I got a single tender medium heat ($4.69) and it was just okay. It paled in comparison to all the other fried chicken we've been having in LA so I was sorely disappointed. I tried some fries from my brother's combo and it was also underwhelming.
