One time I stood in line for two hours at the #1 rated restaurant on Yelp in Los Angeles. It was the first time I'd ever invested this much time waiting for food and it was my first time eating hot chicken. It was one of the best meals I've had. I've been trying to find a comparable hot chicken sandwich for years. Most are disappointing and little more than a fried piece of chicken with Frank's Red Hot poured over it. This is hands down some of the best fried chicken I've ever had. I got the sliders with medium spice and it came out so quick and was the perfect level of spicy. The fries are well seasoned, but the Dave's sauce and honey are great to dumb on your chicken. The coleslaw on the sandwich is outstanding as well. So glad I didn't do another underwhelming fast food chicken place and came here instead. I will be back for sure
Very good hot chicken sandwich and fries! I ordered the combo that has a chicken slider, a chicken tender, and fries. This is a very big meal! The slider is actually a full sandwich, so next time I will get the combo with just one slider and fries. The fries had great seasoning, and I really enjoyed the Dave's sauce and the pickles that come on the side. The bun and kale slaw on the sandwich were great. I know it's a chain, but it's the best chicken sandwich in Denver. Maybe that says more about Denver that it does about this place, but still. Definitely better than all the well known chicken sandwich spots in town. Popeye's is the only place that competes with Dave's here, but ultimately loses because of Dave's "Sawse" or however it's spelled, since Popeyes only has the basics ie barbecue and ranch.
Pretty solid spot. Being from the south, I wish they offered bone-in chicken. But Denver The chicken was hot, well seasoned, and came out quickly. Service was meh. Maybe a step above fast food, and the ambiance was quite the same. I've had better hot chicken but honestly, Dave's and Post Chicken and Beet are the best you'll find in Denver

Great hot chicken! I wish they had more stores, nationwide. I ate at one in MA and the moved to Utah, where they don't exist. Utahns generally are not dialed in on spicy food . Come to St. George, I'll visit a lot.......

After a few drinks down the road, my friends and I were walking down Broadway trying to decide if we wanted a bite to eat or grab another drink. We walked by Dave's and discussed whether we should try it or not. Another group of people overheard us and shouted "Yes, check it out. They are amazing!". We took the strangers advice and headed in. Don't go to Dave's if you're looking for a lot of variety in the menu. Do come if you want to be sure that whatever you order will be well-made and tasty. At least five levels of spice on the chicken. Great fries & mac and cheese. Fast service in a clean, well-lighted place.
Tried this for the first time tonight & absolutely LOVED it! Simply the best chicken hands down since I've been in Colorado. The prices are great too & love the serving sizes, for the #4 as shown in photo, it was $9.99 and again, absolutely amazing chicken! Restaurant is kept well clean & bathrooms were also clean. The parking is metered right outside & parking can be hard to find so either get their earlier in the evening or ride share. Definitely worth the travel out to Denver to try this great spot!
