TO LIVE AND FRY IN L.A. In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept — take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

Love the chicken! It's really juicy and great flavor, worth the hype. I had a really big order today to go, and mentioned I had wanted to eat there. The woman helping me brought mine out ahead of time while They finished the rest of the order. Totally unexpected, and genuinely friendly. Also got the Mac and cheese, my son loved it!
The chicken is good and the fries are incredible. This location has limited indoor seating but there is additional seating outside. Parking is plentiful. The staff was not super helpful or welcoming but the food was good. We got extra hot and didn't feel like it burned terribly much but had a good flavor.

So glad when I saw Dave's Hot chicken come to Port Hueneme/Oxnard! Solid chicken sandwich at a decent price - yes it's a chain and not authentically 805 like some of our other chicken spots, but quality is always A1. Get the #2 with spicy level chicken and you're set for a good night

First time visit to Dave's Hot Chicken and I'm impressed. It's very clean and smells fresh. Great Customer service and delicious food! I ordered Dave's #2 which includes two sliders (your choice of heat), fries and a side of Dave's Sauce with a pickle. All for the low price of $14.98! Very Fresh and Tender Chicken! They do have a heat choice of "no spice" to "the reaper" which you need to sign a waiver and release of liability form if you choose the reaper. Good luck if you try "the reaper"!!
