Hot chicken always does it for me and Dave's is one of the places on the list that I go to for it. I got the 2 Tenders w/ Fries (Medium Spice) and was satisfied for the night. The tenders did have a lot of "powder" on it compared to other Dave's Hot Chicken locations I've tried, but maybe it was just an off night. The chicken itself was hot, fresh, and delicious! Coming from out of state to stop for a quick dinner for my family the food was ok, I prefer Monroe's Hot Chicken. But i will say I appreciate the service from sweet Sufyan in the front, she was friendly and gave me a good experience tonight.

Pretty decent hot chicken spot located in Culver Plaza across Mcdonald's. Parking is fine and shouldn't be too bad unless you go during a very crowded time. I got the #1 which is two sliders and fries for around $15 (can be subbed for mac and cheese if that's more your speed). I got both of them hot since the medium doesn't have enough kick for me. Dave's has always been a go to place for me. Their chicken sandwiches have such a good sauce and have such a great amount of pickles. Just make sure to get hot because the media is not very spicy. Love it !!

Dave's hot chicken can be a good or bad experience depending on location. The first time I had it was in Costa Mesa and I found the food to just be salty and lacking in flavor. But the location in irvine on culver has yet to disappoint. Every time I come the food is great. I always get the sandwich with fries and a coke. My only comment is that service takes a while but, it's understandable as it can get quite busy inside at times. Other than waiting for the order there's usually no issue.

I love and loathe this place for the exact opposite reasons I love and loathe Raising Cane's. Chicken - Raising Cane's heavily relies on their sauce, so their chicken is bland by default. Dave's is at the opposite end of the spectrum, with more salt than the Dead Sea. Breading on the outside could have been more crisp. Fortunately the tenders inside were juicy. I like going there because I get to enjoy the spicy choices (#2 is my favorite), while the kids get the no spice tenders. The food is awesome and the service is good too...
