While driving to Universal Studios with my teenage nephew, he asked if I had ever been to Dave's Hot Chicken? While I live about a mile from the store in Lakewood, we found that another store was 2 miles from our hotel near the theme park, so we plugged the coordinates into the GPS and off we went. We each ordered the two tender meal, mild spice for me and medium for him. The tenders are huge!! The French fries are tasty. The only thing keeping me from awarding 5 is that drinks are separate from the meal.

Dave's chicken is really a great experience I've been to two of them the one in irvine and one in Costa Mesa both visits were an experience the chicken was hot, the art on the walls the people there were really friendly. Theres a variety of choices in how spicy you want your chicken be warned my friends extra hot is hottt not like chickfila spicy deluxe . very crispy juicy and full of flavor . Went to Dave's today and the service was awesome! Hana helped me out and she was so friendly and efficient! My friends and I had a big order but she managed it perfectly and made sure all our food came out perfect. Amazing service from her 10/10, definitely coming back!!!

Nice place with delicious chicken tenders and sliders. The place is fun to eat in or order to take out. Service is prompt though it might get busy but the staff are really friendly and personable. Chicken is tender. I'm too scared to order spicy but hubs liked the medium spicy. I got mild. Next time he's going to go up a notch spicier! Enjoy!

Did a drive by and thought the place of chicken be more like chicken wings . It's not , kinder if a different way to present a chicken breast with spices . Menu had no variations , but wanted to try it . Price of a tender is expensive fir what you get . Taste was fine , but greasy , spices were hot . I did one mild, one medium . Definitely hotter then I expected . Fries were ok, didn't have coke slaw so I tried there kale slaw . Wasn't a fan .
