TO LIVE AND FRY IN L.A. In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept — take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

Dave's is in the former Baja Fresh space, which is now transformed to a bit of a more edgy walk up eatery. As the name "Hot Chicken " suggests only chicken is served. Good size chicken strips are breaded with Choices of heat level seasoned on the breaded chicken. We ordered a lite mild and medium. I've been intrigued by Dave's Hot Chicken coming to Dublin. We frequent other businesses nearby but until recently didn't have an opportunity to try Dave's. I have to admit the chicken sandwich space is quite crowded and I haven't found a fast causal chicken sandwich from anywhere that makes me want to come back. The surrounding area has lots of parking. I love this place! I come here 2 times a week for their tasty slider sandwiches. Unfortunately the tenders aren't so tender. Was very dry and hard. But I'll keep coming back for their sliders and fries.
Just OK, in my opinion. But wildly popular, so maybe my opinion is wrong. Came here for their soft opening and have been back a few times since since it's practically in my back yard. The fries are way too salty, and the milkshakes are pretty lackluster but the chicken itself and the mac and cheese are pretty good and I love the way the store looks inside. All in all, it's worth trying but I wouldn't drive too far for it.
If you have some hot fried chicken cravings, Dave's has your back. Simple straightforward menu - fried chicken slider or tenders with fries. Super delish. Crispy, juicy chicken in your desired level of hotness (hot was perfect for me, super hot was one notch too spicy for me). The white bun is soft and compliments the chicken. Slather it with the Dave's sauce and you are set.
