Kaitlyn K was my stylist) I was 3 minutes early for my 9am appointment, got in the first door and went to open the second only to find it locked. That would’ve been fine, they weren’t open yet, if they hadn’t been standing in a big circle in front of the door talking, clearly not about something important. One came over, unlocked the door and opened it just a crack and said “we’re not open yet” then quickly shut the door, locked it, and went back to the circle. super disappointed in davids bridal altoona :( not only was our day overbooked, so we barely got any help with our dresses (generally wouldn't be a big deal but with covid they didnt allow us to browse, so we had to rely on one lady who was focused on other groups. I'm not sure why we booked an hour spot when we didnt get it.) BUT they shipped me a dress ripped, stained and frayed that I ordered while I was there. Terrible customer service! I was asked to CHANGE the colors of my bridesmaids dresses because the color I wanted wouldn’t be in on time. Our consultant had my girls try on dress after dress, and when we decided on one and went to pay, the dresses she had them try on (that they loved) were unavailable, and it was made to seem like my fault that I came in 3 months before my wedding. Well to start with the $99 sale should be an online only sale. When I arrived at the store to find out there was only 1 dress that I found online in store that i liked I got very upset. To my luck i got to try it on and it fit. Choices in plus size dresses were a bit startling so very few. But the girld worked very hard to help me say yes to the dress.

Went to David’s Bridal today because I was concerned about the looseness and bagginess at certain areas of my dress. (The reason it was baggy is because I tried on a size 12 when I found my dress and the lady insisted I go a size up, but that’s a whole other story.) So I’m in my dress and the alteration lady comes out, takes a look and the proceeds to ask me what my concerns were, so I told her. David’s Bridal needs to reevaluate their return policy. How can a bride or bridesmaid have a dress in their hands for a couple weeks and not be able to return it?! A dress that was tried on once, stored in a bag with tags still attached, and a receipt. Absolutely horrible customer service and Altoona has some extremely rude employees who make a bride who is no longer getting married feel even worse about the situation. Everyone do yourselves a favor and take your business elsewhere.

I never leave reviews, ever, but I had such a terrible time at David’s Bridal today. I felt like employees were 100% inattentive. They were literally juggling a billion clients. Why would a company double or triple book appts for one stylist?? Makes no sense! Makes it really frustrating for everyone. I booked my appointment a week out, I expected someone to at least honor that appointment. Anyways... Absolutely terrible experience. Alteration “professionals” don’t even take measurements and just want to guess on your size. First dress was ordered 2 sizes too small. Drove an hour to pick it up and realized it was way to small. I was then told dress did not come 2 sizes up so I couldn’t even get the dress I fell in love with in my size. When I was in the middle of talking to the alterations lady about what to do next, an employee came over and interrupted us and pulled her away.
