When I went to buy my wedding dress I had a wonderful experience. But when I went to alterations I had an awful experience. I didn't buy my under garments when I bought my wedding dress. I lost 80 pounds and wanted to wait until alterations to make sure I had the correct size. They didn't have my size in the corset. They kept bringing me sister sizes that didn't fit right. I more than hated it, this was the worst dress shopping experience ever! It doesn't even deserve a star! I had an appointment for 3 of my bridesmaids for over 3 months prior. We arrived on time and got told that a person would be over to help us shortly, 20 or so minutes she shows up. Doesn't ask about what we're looking for or our colors, just says only pick out the ones in your size; 2 sizes above your pant size ( which is totally wrong cause that didn't fit any of the girls, their dresses aren't true to size) then she sti... read more

Worst dress buying experience all around. I was made to wait well past my appointment time, asked my budget and had it exceeded by double without being told prices until at the register.... why even ask if you're going to disregard completely... I purchased a veil and didn't even receive it in my bag with the dress and other accessories I bought. Made an appt. & was given a "stylist" to assist us. What a joke! She coulda cared less what my daughter liked or didn't like. Offered no help at all other than putting dresses back. Not to mention the poor selection and cheap made gowns. Went to Elegant Bride only 15 mins away & was blown away with the service and quality of gowns. My daughter found her wedding dress, we all cried & had that "wow" experience you see on tv! Thank you Frankie @ Elegant Bride!

DON'T EVER shop at the David's Bridal on Sawmill Road!!! Their regular dress staff is wonderful and sweet. However, their ALTERATIONS DEPARTMENT IS RUDE AND INCONSIDERATE!!!!! I should have listened to the two other people who forewarned me about how bad the personalities are in the alterations dept. at the Sawmill Road location. But, I didn't heed the warning. Everything was good but just picked up the dress today and the top doesn't fit well. I told the seamstress when the dress was getting pinned that the one side looked bad and when I picked up the dress today and again commented, was told there was nothing that could be done. I spent as much on alterations of this dress as I did on the dress itself. My expectation was that it would be perfect. It is not and my daughter will have to use her hair to hide the front.

I did my wedding dress shopping without my mother who doesn't live here in town but wanted to be to share this very special experience and time with me. I took pictures and called her every time I walked out of the store and kept her in the loop. I tried on 2 dresses and fell in love with the first one! So my first visit to this store was good and the associate that helped me was really nice and patient. I wish the alteration process was more welcoming and personable!

Awful experience both times!! First Time: My dress is stunning (and no thanks to the bridal consultant). First, my consultant had another client at the same time of my appointment and I would try on my dress, then she would disappear for 20 minutes. Thankfully my sister-in-law changed my dresses for me and zipped me up when I couldn't do it myself. I found my dress and I didn't ring the bell or anything.
