Asked to swap my size 8 dress(unopened AND in the plastic) for a smaller size and without hesitation they declined. Crappy service - no apologies and didn’t care to understand the issue.
I was told to come back later in the day to try on one dress. When I said I lived an hour away the woman replied, “Well that’s too bad, isn’t it?” All I needed to do was figure out what size I was and place an order. That place is such a circus full of the rudest people I’ve ever met. Apparently not much has changed since I bought my wedding dress there four years ago. Never again.
Positive experience at David's in Yonkers. Except for the young lady who "greeted us, " and who then checked out our purchases who didn't crack a smile the whole time. She said she had had a bad week. Oh well..... You should've stayed home then.
Overall it was a decent experience but I few things were a little annoying. My appt was at noon so I showed up at 11:50am and walked in the door I was quickly pushed out and said they did not open till noon and doors should have been locked. They were all just standing around so they could have just let us in at this point to look at dresses and not helped us till noon. Just came off very unprofessional. My gal was nice and young. You guys need to spend more time and being more friendly to the bridesmaids. I get it, The brides dress is where you make the most $. But I almost packed my girls up and said let’s go somewhere else where we won’t feel rushed and have to purchase the first thing we try on, because they’re too busy trying to rush us out for the next person. Took my daughter for a semi-formal. We had an appointment and the lady helping us did her best. She had us and then another client added half way through. When waiting, patiently, for the seamstress we were asked repeatedly to move for other clients!! Thought that was kind of rude. The seamstress was a rockstar and she was the only reason I’d give them a good renting. Truly nice and patient woman.
Walked in and immediately felt as if bo one wanted to help us. My attendant was still with another person 20 minutes past my appt time. She didn't pay attention to the style i wanted and kept running off getting lost. My sisters maid of honor and aunts had to go pull majority of the dresses i tried on. Found THE DRESS...customer service was lost though! I went in with a book of ideas to show the consultant and had created a profile on their website to "favorite" the dresses that I liked most. I also made sure to tell them what my budget was and I was VERY clear about this. And yet, the young lady assisting me, Haley, did not listen to me at all.
