This is long but read it before making you final decisions. I love my dress and the girl who helped me try it on but they as a whole dont have their stuff together. While i was waiting for alterations they called me on the phoneto pick up my slip and i asked while i was in the store if i can pick the slip up when i pick up my dress and they said its fine...but no one even noted it. I was so excited to go to David's with two of my girlfriends to try on wedding dresses. I had cash in hand and ready to buy a dress. I made an appointment so that I'd have a consultant to help me. My consultant was very sweet but she did not do a single thing for me. She had another bride she was helping and completely ignored me. My friends and I pulled all the dresses I tried on, she didn't help get right sizes, she only put away dresses that I didn't want. When I went in for my wedding dress I had a good experience .... but what a difference when I went in for my sisters maid of honour dress. The first one I ordered came in sewed incorrectly - terrible seams and folded extra material right down the breast ... so the manager said you can exchange it - so we did and picked the convertible dress in coral. I needed a dress altered for a wedding. I called & was told no worries, we can fix it & have it done by Thursday, there's just a rush fee. NO problem, I'm onboard with paying the rush to make sure everything is good. I needed to add fabric to make the top of the zipper close. When I arrive for my appointment with alterations, I get a different story. First, "oh the hem is great, no need to fix." Well, I'm not here for that to be touched..."we can't fix this dress. I give it a big fat zero. I ordered a bridesmaid dress months ago. It came quickly. It had a rip in the dress and a hole. I've never gotten any dress from anywhere manufactured so poorly. I had to complain to not have to pay for shipping. They were going to charge me $30 more since the sale was over. It wasn't my fault I received a torn up dress. Very disappointed with Davids bridal as a company. I purchased my wedding dress there and did my alterations though there as well as purchasing 3 bridesmaid dresses there too. One of my bridesmaids received the wrong style dress and when I called to tell them of the mistake they said they would reorder the correct dress when I brought back in the wrong one and not until then. Well the first part of my experience was great, Michelle L listened to what I was looking for and by the 4th dress we had it picked out. My rant is with the women in the alteration area. I went today to pick up my dress. WE HAD TO WAIT OVER A HALF AN HOUR for them to bring my dress out. MY eye hooks only had HALF of the hook n eye, my bussels on my dress were COMPLETELY wrong.
