Everyone there is very friendly and helps you with a smile. I'm just very upset because when I purchased my dress I was told the alteration(just to hem) would have been $30.00. Well today my little girl and I went to get our dresses altered it was $60.00 each. I was very upset because I spent a lot on two dresses already and to spend another $120.00 just to get them hemmed is pretty ridiculous.
Told it would take 45 mins to steam my dress which actually took an hour and 40 mins. Was constantly told "almost done" which was a lie. Extremely dissappointed how they managed time as it made me late for several pressing appointments. Next time, tell me to pick it up later. Don't keep saying almost done when its not.
Brides to be, FIND SOMEWHERE ELSE TO SHOP! First of all let me say, when I originally had my first appointment with alterations, it was fabulous. My seamstress worked relentlessly to make sure I was comfortable and happy with every alteration she would be making. Her friendly helpfulness is the ONLY reason I gave the place a two. I would buy a dress at Davids Bridal, but I wouldn't get the alterations done there. You are better off going to a cleaners who does alterations than using the people at Davids Bridal!
I had the best experience when they were selling me the dress. My bridal consultant told me that when I was picking it up I should try it on. When I came to pick it up the lady at the front desk said "we don't have a room for you" even though the place was a ghost town. Then I asked about dyeable shoes and they were rude again saying they're only available online and not returnable. I had specifically told my bridal consultant that I wanted to do blue dyed shoes for my something blue and she said nothing about them not being... read more
They had 7 weeks to alter my wedding dress and I came in for my apt 2 weeks before my wedding to pick my dress up and they had no alterations done and lost my corset underpiece that also needed altering. They even said they lost the dress until I asked for them to look again. Didn't offer anything for all my wasted trips to and from davids bridal except 10% back on my alterations, I spent more in gas with all the trips there than they refunded me. I'm not from Mesquite or Dallas, but from Houston. On August 25, 2017 nasty hurricane Harvey hit southern Texas. Houston sustained massive flooding. My wedding is on Sept. 9, 2017 and my daughter's bridesmaid dress is still at the Galleria store (it was being altered). As of August 31st just 9 days away from the wedding we have no clue as to when the Houston, Corpus Christi and Beaumont stores will reopen. **Edit 01/05/2018 ** Although my review from my visit on 08/30/17 still stands - I had reconsidered my decision and chose not to go back to purchase from David`s Bridal based on scare/pressure tactics I received just hours after placing my former review.
