WARNING TO NOT SHOP AT DAVID's BRIDAL OTTAWA Bridesmaids dresses - this was a shit show from day one. First they tell you to go online and check out the dresses you want to try on, then you show up and see a sloppy assortment of dresses and they tell you they don't have any of the ones on the website. Michelle help me look for seven dress I had written down the skew numbers for, she only came back with two. Not her fault DB didn't have it stock & this is the flagship store. smh
I'm not usually one to complain, but after several bad experiences, I think it is appropriate. #1 I used this store to purchase my wedding gown around March-April. After finding the perfect dress, crying with close friends and family, and ringing the bell I was told by Deb that she would have to go see if she could even order the dress... I chose to go to David's Bridal because my biggest fear in going to a boutique was that they would have nothing that would fit me. My sister-in-law was about my size (tall and curvy) and got her dress at David's so I thought it would be a good place to start, because I was already anxious about shopping for a dress, because 1) I hate shopping 2) shopping for a dress is the worse period 3) shopping for a wedding dress was a whole other level of anxiety. Just had an appointment at Davids Bridal for my 5 bridesmaids at 12:30, I made an appointment and when we got there they said to look around and someone would be with us shortly. No one ever showed up and we tried them on with little help. Since I made an appointment I was expecting to have someone help make an experience out of the day, which was not the case. We left within 30 minutes without finding anything. When we did ask for help we didn't receive it. I will not be going back.
I purchased my dress here and the staff was amazing. When my dress came in there were a few alterations that needed to be done. I'm not sure what happened but when I returned for my second fitting my dress no longer fit. It had been taken in, in all the wrong places. The seamstress came out measured me again and assured me that it would be fixed. A week later I returned only to be horrified that my dress had been taken in even more. RecommendedRosie was my consultant and she was WONDERFUL she listened to what I wanted and didn't. Was not expecting to buy a dress and ended up buying my dress today! Super nice and so comforting when trying dresses On! David's Bridal is definitely a 5 star for Me!
