My mother scheduled an appointment 1 week in advance for bridal gown shopping for my wedding. My fiancé and I made an 8 hour road trip from Charleston, SC for this. When we arrived, the store was over flooding with people. I went in about 2 months ago. The sales person ( dont remember her name) said it was crucial that I get on some special payment plan because the dress I picked was gonna take a while to ship, 15 weeks. I said okay and got on the plan. When the due date came they called several times saying I wouldn't get my dress in time, im getting married Sept 2018, but I knew I had time so I waited 2 weeks to be exact. Worst worst worst, if you can go somewhere else, DO IT!!! Been up there 3 times for 3 different garmets that were the wrong size, one being the corset! Thankfully I caught it before the wedding day! Then my dress I was assured would "for beautifully" did not fit and they didn't seem concerned, told me I could just return it. I should not have to pay for alterations! Our helper Emily was no help finding my sister her dream dress. And then took time to complain about my sister to her co worker. If you want to receive good service, go somewhere else!

The store selection was pretty awesome and we ended up finding a dress but the consultant almost ruined the whole visit. We signed in and Alex was like hi whose the bride? Congrats and then disappeared. We didn't even know where our dressing room was, we had to wander around and find it ourselves. When she finally came back and saw the dresses we'd pulled she goes "those are all your dresses? Ugh" we had like 8. She didn't help the bride into a single dress. My biggest complaint is that when asked what size I wore the consultant brought me dresses that were 2-4 sizes too small. I never tried on one dress that was in my actual size. So when it came time to purchase my dress I thought they would measure me to make sure it would fit, I was wrong they just rang me up and said here you go we will call you in Novto come pick it it. This is the third time I've been to davids bridal in colonie for dresses for my wedding and each experience has been dramatically worse. The sales girls lack knowledge. We spent two hours trying to find follower girls dresses to match bridesmaids dresses and also a junior bridesmaid dress. 3 kids in tow for 2 hours! I was shopping for a dress to wear to a wedding. I picked a few then asked for a fitting room. I was told to check in up front. I did and they said, "let me see IF someone is available." I waited 10 minutes for someone to escort me to the fitting room (plenty of rooms open). I can understand this policy if I was looking for a wedding dress but I was not! DB will be my last resort in the future.
