I was looking for a dress for an special occasion and Stylist Jonnessia assisted me. She the sweetest young lady , helpful, courteous and a pleasure. She's very knowledgeable about the inventory.
I had an amazing experience at David's in London. As a very tall, plus size bride, I was worried about what options would be available to make my vision a reality. No worries here, I tried on many dresses and found the one. I ran into some issues when it came to the alterations, mostly because I didn't want to wear a bustier when I really needed one. The receptionist was somewhat accommodating we showed up early. My granddaughter explained to the lady helping us what she wanted and she ended up with the dress she didn't want. That's where our experience started to go downhill fast. The lady that helped us with the bridesmaids dresses, I had to tell her to get up and go help the young ladies. I wouldn't even give it one star. Let me tell you, this was the one place I wanted to go. It has a big name and is supposed to be good quality. My mom came in all the way from Texas to go dress shopping with me. Plus we drove an hour to the store in Tampa. No where on their website did they advertise appointments were mandatory. We get all the way there and I was notified I couldn't even try on dresses. They didn't care, even given the circumstances. We looked around. No one helped us look at all. I had a fairly good experience choosing my dress and getting it in. When we went to have it altered and put in a bustle, they said when they were done they would steam it and make it ready for the wedding. When I opened my dress on my wedding day, it was wrinkled from head to floor. It's very noticeable in pictures. By far one of the worse things I could have imagined! Picture in comments
I made an appointment to have a dress altered that was purchased at David's Bridal and worn by my future mother-in-law for Saturday, July 29th. I made my appointment about 6 weeks ago. When I arrived, with my mother and future mother-in-law, I was told that they could not alter this dress because they could not replace it if something happened to it during the alteration step. I was honestly disappointed in my alterations. I bought my dress from Davids bridal and had an alterations appointment this past July 1. I was told my dress would be ready to pick up July 28th. I went with my family to try on my dress after alterations. The alterations were not done correctly. After alteration, the chest area of my dress buckled in the center of my chest and the back had to be re altered because it still did not fit right. We went in to look at bridesmaid dresses for my wedding, it was our second time there, the associate didn't help us with the selection at all she just showed us where to find dresses and disappeared. We found a couple of styles we liked and made our own way to the fitting rooms that's when we found the stylist again. We were able to find a few styles we were happy with but the stylist made one of my bridesmaids feel slightly uncomfortable about her weight.
