Avoid David's like the plague. My future daughter in law purchased her wedding dress at the Rochester location and enjoyed the selection and prices a large nationwide chain offers, but since she now lives in Syracuse, she brought it here for alterations. After a few fittings, the team of seamstresses here told her that they would not be able to alter it. That she never should have been sold that dress in that size. I made an appointment to try some dresses on for the mother of the groom. I was practically left after she got a few dresses for me to try on, and when I came out with the second dress she was gone. I literally would have to hunt her down. Thank good my son's fiancé was there to help me out and zipper up the dress and also help me look for dresses. My daughter found a dress which she loved, i was just disappointed the alterations cost almost 3X the price of what i paid for the dress. Just happy she had a great time at her semi dance.
Horrible experience! I went to the store with little hope that I would find something I would like let alone love when I first arrived to the store after scheduling my appointment online I was told that they did not know I had an appointment because it was set up online which was off putting they worked to get someone to help me during the time of waiting I saw a bride very upset screaming that a staff member upset her family and demanded to speak to a manager which being a new customer made me want to walk out the door. I had a very awful experience.. overpriced dresses and on top of that the sales lady was rude and annoyed because I was not falling in love with the first dress I wore.. and also I made an appointment she was like "oh I did not know you were trying on dresses.." Let me start by saying that I did find my perfect dress at David's and I purchased my perfect dress. As the process continued it was not so perfect and stress free though. The alteration session went rather well. A few bumps here and there, but nothing too stressful. However, when I went to my my final fitting I discovered there was a HOLE in the front of my dress. I am not impressed with my experience At davids bridal. I purchased my bridesmaid dress which was fine. I had to get alterations done which I expected, however it cost me over 100$ to do two things. They did not tell me it would cost this much up front. Anyway I ended up paying it and came back for my second fitting. Too expensive and none off the dresses were under 200-300.00 as shown on fb or tv or the radio the dresses that were given to me to try on looked as if i was from the 40"s and attending a funeral overall the girl wouldn't measure me i asked several times
