Lead time on a bridesmaid dress was 4 months instead of 6-8 weeks like they said. I had to change all my bridesmaid dress choices to different styles because of this. They did not offer to do anything to help in this situation. Very disappointed.
Our first consaultation was a complete disaster. Honestly please go anywhere else but here. I could tell you stories upon stories they screwed me over so bad I ended up wasting 300 dollars and having to take two extra days off work. Please try and go to any other place for bridesmaids dresses. Go to the mom and pop shops where they actually care about you and treat you like a person. Support small companies. To say I am disappointed with Davids Bridal in Rockford, IL would be an understatement. I chose to have my bridesmaids get their dresses from Davids bridal because with all of them living in different places, it was the most convenient seeing as they have Davids bridals close to all of them. WOW! Just called this store because I received a message that an item I ordered is there and need to be picked up. The person I spoke with on the phone told me that I have to call back tomorrow because "the person who handles this has left".... umm... what special skill does it take to check if there are any items there to be picked up under my name. This is the place to work. Arrived at 7:52 on a cold rainy night. They close at 9. Saw 3 associates. Zero customers. We were told we had to make an appointment to look at wedding dresses. We were told NOT to pull any dresses out. So the "workers" refuse any customer service for brides after 7:30---even in a totally empty store. ? I went for my fitting, I was so excited. The women then was very pushy to schedule my next appointment before this one had even started. She was grouchy I didn't have the shoes I was planning to wear. She then told us we probably wanted a bustle, $50 for 3 loops but failed to tell us it was 14 loops...I had need to purchase a corset bra while there my mom had seen the list of prices and asked if it was total she said yes. I am in a wedding this fall and got a fitting done a few months ago to see what size I am so I could order a dress through a broad website. Wearing a normal bra, I was measured at a 32 in the bust area, which I should have caught on that could not have been right. I sent my measurements in and received my dress and the 32 is way too small. I brought my dress into 3 different alteration shops and no one could believe I was professionally measured at a 32.
