We got our Bridesmaid dresses from Davids Bridal... I didn't find the store very helpful in our search- but we did end up buying the dresses online (and they were on super sale!) The quality wasn't amazing, but I think you get what you pay for. My bridesmaids ended up looking beautiful in their dresses.
The people who work at David's were very helpful. I would recommend that this be your first stop because of the verity of dresses that they have. Remember to try on everything that you can. It is so much fun.
I went into David's Bridal to begin my search for a gown. I had about 15 I liked written down. The bridal consultant brought only 2 or 3 of these to me. I didn't like any of them so I tried on the one the consultant had brought me that she thought I would like. I absolutely fell in love with it. HORRIBLE!!!! I will never use Davids Bridal for anything! Ever! They have horrible customer service and are very unprofessional! If I had known about them before I never would have stepped in to the store!
For years, I have always heard awful things about DB. For that reason, I went elsewhere to find my dress. However, my one color is teal, and decided to go to David's Bridal because of their affiliation with Tuxedo junction so the colors would match. We have not picked up the dresses up yet, but I hope there are no problems. My wedding is not until July, but horror stories I heard, we decided to order early, and store them at are homes not to deal with them. They are OK for dresses. They do have a large selection but the whole process could run a little smoother if you ask me.
Initially I had a bad experience at David's Bridal the year before I began planning my wedding. I went to the Mission Valley store to shop for a dress and no one greeted me nor asked if I needed any assistance as I browsed through the store. I was completely ignored even as I walked towards the door to leave, no one approached me. It was super busy and my dress attendant rushed me through and limited the amount of dresses I could try and only gave us an hour. That was very frustrating, as every bride wants to find the perfect dress. Great value for the price though, and a good selection. I ended up getting a fairly plain dress and having it hand-beaded by someone else, as their dresses are poorly made.
I live in Texas and my wedding was in California. They shipped my dress from Texas to California for little charge. The Sales assoc. in Texas were wonderful and very helpful. I would recomond not doing your alterations there because their prices are outrageous! Once in San Diego, the assoc. were so rude and could not care. No matter how many times I or my bridemaids went to the store they could never look up my name in the computer to see what my girls need or have done.
