Ugh....#DavidsBridal. Called Davids Bridal on Thursday to see if The black formal dress we ordered in MARCH for junior escort at graduation was ready to be picked up. The kind lady on the phone told me it had just come in that day, and we had 7 days to pick it up. We made the long trek up there today, and guess what???? NO DRESS. Although our salesperson was very kind and helpful, I can't help but feel we were rushed and price gouged. Their dresses are overpriced and the whole entire operation is similar to purchasing a car at a wheeler and dealer car lot. We had Issues with check out process, issues with fixing mistakes with checkout process! (And on and on and on and on!) I've been here several times in the past month to get the bridesmaids dresses for my wedding. Each time I go with one of my girls, the total is different. I ask why and they can never tell me. It's not a few dollars, it's a $22 difference. I understand they have sales but they can't tell me what they are?? BEWARE of UNSPOKEN CHARGES & FEES!! We bought a beautiful dress at David's Bridal for my daughter. BUT, what they don't tell you as they are selling you on how good the dress will look after they make the alterations for a perfect fit, is that they charge for these services!!! $$$$$$ They never mention this while we are trying on dresses, they just keep pushing us to bring the dress back to have it altered. Had an appointment at 530-7 I arrived at 5 nobody even looked at me until 620. The woman up front was rude as can be. The lady that helped me find my dream dress was good tho, even when I told her I really didn't know what kind I wanted.
We ordered our maid of honors dress in plenty of time to arrive for the wedding. When my junior maids dress came in I asked about the other. This was 5 weeks before our wedding, we were informed the dress was never ordered. Its 12 weeks to get the dress so we were basically out of luck. They offered us to buy a lesser dress off the rack but there was no way to get one that hadn't been ripped. We were offered a sorry and that's about it. Arrived for scheduled appt. Checked in and waited, and wandered around the store some more, and waited. Did I say waited? I went to try on dresses here last week and it was absolutely TERRIBLE. I told the woman the kind of dress I was going for and my budget was up to 2000 and she came back with some of the ugliest dresses I have ever seen in my life.
