I LOVE my dress but they said that I had to buy the one I was trying on that had makeup stains on it. I refused to do that and had to put up a stink for them to order me a new one. When the new one came it was not new...it had pulls in the dress and stains. It wasn't until the 3rd dress that I actually got a new one. My dress was beautiful for a fraction of the price!
Purchased my dress for a very affordable price, however, the person assigned to helping me find a dress was not that helpful. Luckily, I foud my dress after three tries but the salesperson had also given up... If you go to David's be aggressive with what you are seeking.
Dress price was reasonable, but the alterations were somewhere around $300, and had to be redone due to issues the first time around.
This was the first place I went to shop for dresses, and I wasn't expecting to find anything. But the woman we worked with was very good at listening to what I was interested in, and as we tried on things she kept note of what I liked or didn't like. She pulled a sample dress from years before that was exactly what I was looking for! I couldn't believe it. Excellent value for the price, and the tailoring was well done for the alterations they did have to make.
I purchased my wedding gown at David's Bridal -and absolutely LOVED wearing it on my big day. It is a gorgeous ivory lace over champagne satin dress that really complemented my full figure well and made me feel like a princess. The value as compared to any other bridal boutiques I looked at is EXTREMELY good -and especially if you look out for sales. David's Bridal has a huge selection of dresses (and everything else wedding-related) in a variety of styles, sizes, and prices. Because of this, it is also very much like shopping at the mall - crowded, noisy, and so-so service. However, I found a wedding dress that I loved within my budget and reasonably priced and lovely bridesmaid dresses. You can almost certainly have a more pleasant shopping experience at a smaller boutique but would probably not have as wide a selection of styles and prices.
I went to three separate locations around Maryland, and they all were bad. I got a pretty good price for my dress... but I also got multiple rude customer service associates and really crappy quality items. My bridesmaids bought their dresses here. Most of their zippers were broken when the dresses came in (before coming out of the plastic). One of my bridemaids bought shoes to match her dress and the ankle strap was broken. We got married on the beach so I definitely didn't want a big and cumbersome dress. I went to David's Bridal and found a perfect dress. Two weeks later it was fitted and ready for the big day. It went so well with the sea theme. And the price was amazing. Even with the alterations, it was under $250!
This was the first and only stop that we made for finding a dress. I went on a friday evening and had an appointment, I was seen right away but i felt like my consultant was trying to hurry me out she kept hinting that I should try more on next time, even though i was only 40 minutes into my 2 hr appointment. Luckily I found the dress on my first visit.
