In 1981 at age 19, Dean started Dean's Auto Sales, a small car lot in his grandparent's front yard on Moffett Road in Mobile. In 1985 Dean formed DMC Enterprises, Inc. and moved to Government Street until 1989. Over the next decade there was significant growth for Dean McCrary.
