My name is Joyce Whipple and my experience on 4/22/26 was great.. The staff was very courteous and professional.. Dr. Balestri great doctor and thorough.. I would recommend him to anyone with any gastrointestinal problems or simply preventative care.. Monica his nurse is great.. She returns calls get the message to the doctor timely..that’s important to the patients..Overall my experience was great.. I can’t leave out anesthesiology..they too were great and professional..5 stars Thanks again!
Had a colonoscopy here today 4.3.26. The place is very difficult to find because it's on the huge Emory hospital complex. The 1st problem when we walked into suite 506 and there was no one sitting behind the check-in desk. So, we checked in using the QR code and waited. I got tired of waiting, I yelled HELLO and someone nearby answered. Evidently, endoscopy patients are supposed to walk through the oddly decorated blue door to yet another check in window?! Highly recommend Dr. Balistreri. He was efficient, kind, direct, holistic, and took me seriously. I’m in my 30s and have been putting off going to the GI because I’m young, and he thanked me for being proactive to care for my health. I was able to book an appointment online the same week. I was also very impressed by his staff, specifically his MA/secretary Monica, who was so chill, nice, and funny, and Jennifer at the front desk, who greeted me in a way that made me feel immediately like I was in a good place. Dr. Simpson was great - he listened carefully and made sure he had answered all my questions. We have a path forward and I am greatly relieved.
Dr. Balistreri and Monica are compassionate, pleasant, professional, polite and very knowledgeable. Explanations were succinct and comprehensive. Lena was careful and helpful to obtain accurate vital stats. I recommend this practice group.
