The visit was for a fun company outing. We started with the train tour of the facility. Then we broke into teams for mini golf excitement. A great time was had by all. The new owners are investing in beautiful upgrades throughout the facility. The ecological portion of the tour was most educational.

The desert of Maine is a fun adventure for the family! We went there on weekend and although it was a little bit busy there wasn't a line to get in. The gift shop is pretty cute as soon as you walk in and you also get a map of the area to find some cool little spots to go hike around. If you're just in it for the hike I would say it takes about an hour especially if you're taking your time and taking a lot of pictures and if you're digging for some gems. I would say it's a lot of fun with kids there is a little playground r... read more

I’ve been coming to Freeport with my family for many years. And we always overplayed to stay at the boring old Hilton down the road from LLbean and it’s fine but when me and my girlfriend were looking for a more ago and fun option to stay up in Freeport for a few nights we stumbled across This campground. When we saw their beautiful cabins we knew we had to try it out. The nightly rate was really good for the quality of the cabin we got. And the staff is super nice and they are always checking in via email to make sure your ... read more

It's an interesting place. There is a journey in the desert with lots of information pertaining to how the desert came from. There are fun activities for the kiddos like gem village and dig site. There is a nice park with a wooden playground and there is a mini putt course. The train was out of order, which my kids were sad about, but it still was fun.

This was a great stop. We arrived at about 10:30 on Wednesday. Students are still in school, but we had this place mostly to ourselves. We were so pleased with our experience here we are absolutely glad we did it. This is the perfect place to take your kids and help them blow off steam there's a playground area as well as plenty to do! Tickets were 18 each. One thing that I absolutely loved was that they had strollers in wheelchairs that were able to be used for people who needed access to them. This ensures the park is av... read more
