Do not go to desert radiology. They are private equity owned and will do everything possible to keep any overcharge, On July 1 2025 they overcharged me $1000 on a nuclear medicine test. When I received another bill, I checked my EOB and discovered the overcharge. When I called, the CSR said oh! You are paid in full at which time I told him no, you overcharged me. I shower up 15 minutes before my appointment. Already did my online check in. Front desk was friendly, location was clean. I was with my technician very quickly. I wish I remembered her name she was kind, friendly and extremely gentle. She made the whole process as comfortable as it could be. I was out from check in to leaving in less than 30 minutes.
After checking in and providing signature, had to wait another 20 mins. to be called back up for ID and insurance card copies. After that, had to wait another 20 mins. to be called to the back. 30 mins after my appointment time. No sorry for the wait, no proactiveness or service recovery. If I was 30 mins late, I would've been asked to reschedule. Be more professional, efficient, and customer service oriented.
The company cancels appointments without ever getting in contact with you or going through appropriate avenues one would assume through common sense. Extremely hard to get ahold of them and must schedule online or wait hours on the phone. Often long wait times.
DR used to be excellent. But recently it was sold and many of the doctors and much of the staff left or were fired. Several months ago I started noticing a dramatic decline in their operation. For example, it took over 4 weeks just to have a spinal xray read. Recently, I had an MRI taken there that an outside specialist said was so bad, it couldn't be read. A family doctor told me recently the delays and bad work there is certainly costing lives and lawsuits are sure to come. Proceed at your own risk.
