From the estimate (Jessica) to the actual work (Andrew was an excellent team lead all around) everything done to very high level (I'm really picky about these type projects); all old tile removal from kitchen and breakfast area done in one day. Two days and a half for new tile installed in kitchen, breakfast area, small hallway and a laundry room. Dean was the supervisor of our job and his attention to detail was everything I expected.He was professional and courteous and hiscrew was efficient and friendly. The only hiccup we had was the initial estimate, (a mistake made by the front office, not the estimator). The job was done professionally and looks beautiful. Jon and Chris Mayer were a pleasure to deal with. Jordan and Dean were extremely responsive as project managers. The crew that did most of the work -- Joseph, Steve and Ildi -- were punctual, conscientious, and very competent. Rains held up the job but we knew in advance that this could happen -- the mud had to be dry before the crack isolation membrane could be installed. Their price was reasonable and they lived up to their commitments.
Designer Lifestyles helped us select appropriate & attractive flooring for the job, provided a thorough estimate of the work & materials, and performed the work in a most professional & competent fashion. The job was completed on two different days because I had to keep my things in a spare BR while the rest of floor was being treated. They came back to do the spare BR after the concrete in rest of house dried. The floor looked wonderful, with uniform color and very few holes. When they came back to do the spare BR, the concrete had many holes in it and the color was significantly non-uniform ('swirls' of several colors). The actual description of this project was pouring self-leveling compound over the existing concrete floor areas. Customer removed their own carpet and was trying to hold off replacing any new flooring materials until a future date, due to budget concerns at that time. Customer requested that we pour new cement to give her a uniform look. We gave the customer 2 options to accomplish this task. They did a great job. I do most construction around my home myself but leveling the floor with self leveling product has been a challenge to do on my own. This crew has a lot of experience and did it very quickly. The floor looks great! <br />
