Devon Title’s system crashed statewide on the day of my scheduled closing. I don’t understand how a company that handles sensitive financial and personal information for its clients would not have local back ups. It seems like a huge operational and security oversight. I was in from out of state to close, and the seller had vacation plans, so we were really dependent on closing within that week. I was extremely unimpressed with Devon Title Company in Portage. The staff came across as impersonal and even somewhat rude, which was disappointing. More concerning was their lack of professionalism. They failed to return my call to confirm they had received a significant wire transfer and were unaware of the wire during the closing, even asking for a cashier’s check to complete the closing. Nice place. Very clean and tidy when I closed on my refinance in 2020. They made me feel good about my interest rate.

Sold my mothers home. My sister and I both on it. They cut our checks with the address to my mothers home we just sold. Unprofessional as hell that's all I can say. Why even copy our ID if you're too lazy to look at our addresses.
