I began taking my family and myself to Diley Ridge ER over 7 years ago, due to neglectful and sometimes abusive treatment from the ER staff at Fairfield Medical Center. I can honestly say, I have always had quick, professional care by compassionate competent staff. Not once, out of multiple visits, have I ever been disappointed. I suffered from ketoacidosis and the nurses were terrific and the Dr was quick and responsive. I appreciate the nurse and medical assistants that i had. But that was the worst doctor I've ever had. She spent maybe 3-5 minutes with me. Constantly talked over me, cut me off, told me my symptoms "weren't interesting", belittled my symptoms, didn't even have the decency to fully enter the room when discharging me, just stuck her head in the door. Worst ER ever!!! My daughter took my granddaughters there today. The triage nurse was very rude and the nurse that came in to swab the girls for strep was rude too. My oldest granddaughter was first and she swabbed her throat too long and hurt her. Then she tried to force a tongue depessor into my other granddaughters mouth by pushing it against her teeth. I came with my fiance straight to the ER for his pancreatitis. I have never seen anyone in such pain. as soon as I pulled up I was met immediately with help from staff, nurses and doctor’s assistant. They cared and listened as I spoke for my fiance who was in too much pain to talk that he only gets pain relief from a specific medication. I was surprised they didn’t Dismiss my request for my partners care and they actually did it for him and gave him the relief he desperately needed. I am deeply disappointed with the service my mother received at Diley Ridge Medical Center Emergency Room, part of the Mt. Carmel Hospitals and a member of Trinity Health. Despite my 76-year-old mother suffering from a broken jaw and having a history of major health surgeries and risks, the staff failed to consult or arrange for transport to a more qualified facility.
