If I could give ZERO stars I would! My husband is a ROOFING CONTRACTOR with AHS so we KNOW how this process with American Home Shield and how it works!!! When I called the office with my mom on the phone we asked for the amount they were paid from her contract because that is the coverage amount and the additional is owed to the contractor out of pocket. Contractor Tony came due to my warrenty services. He knew what to say to get my warenty denied. He also stated my water heater would not heat up. Which was a lie, he even turned the control box back on before leaving my home. I do not recommend contractors for American Home shield.
I put in an online claim to 2-10 Home Warranty on Easter Sunday morning, got a call a few hours later they arranged for Discount Contractors LLC to come to my home. I was a bit leery after reading all the 1-star reviews but Keith arrived the next morning on time, took off his shoes, and fixed my leaking toilet. I thought the seal was bad because I saw water at the base so he inspected and replaced the wax seal, along with the bad fill valve and flapper. Scammers went through AHS they showed up in flip flops and then tried to overcharge me for a hot water heater. Wanted me to pay almost 600 out of pocket that’s crazy. If you get them assigned to you good luck.
