This as close to authentic Italian that I have eaten in TX. The food came out quickly and the portions are generous. Good happy hour specials on drinks. They have a large patio that seems to have both evaporative coolers and heaters, along with the wind blocking vinyl. Prices are little steep on certain things (steak and ‘adding meat’ to pasta). I had an amazing experience at this delicious Italian restaurant. I started with the hibiscus margarita, which was refreshing and perfectly balanced. For my meal, I ordered the spicy shrimp pasta, and the sauce was bursting with flavor and had just the right amount of heat. Went here for our anniversary and the food was pretty mediocre. The steak was over cooked and the spaghetti sauce was basic like it came from a can. The service was exceptional but the atmosphere gives you a bar feel.
Went for the second time on Saturday night and sat on the patio—great atmosphere with live music! I tried the Italian Sandwich, which is served on their famous bread, and I was shocked at how huge it was. Definitely worth the price and very filling.
