He is great at explaining things and taking time and making someone with anxiety feel better. I recommend him if you struggle with anxiety too or just need general information answered about your GI health
I have returned to Dr. Howerton for two colonoscopies and now time for a third. He was always a caring professional and his office staff was receptive and accommodating. Top Doc with a sense of Humor
I have had Dr Howerton for 3 procedures and always found him to be timely, very professional, empathetic and helpful in answering all of my questions. I would definitely recommend him to others.
I have an appointment at 10:30. I get there at 10 as instructed for “paperwork”. I’m then told he in “meetings” until 10:30 and then he has quiet a few patients in front of me. So I asked the lady why nobody called me as clearly a meeting is scheduled. She does not know. Basically, me leaving work just to be told he is busy, let’s me know how important I am. So looking for a new doctor who does not have a god syndrome.
Does not appear to listen to symptoms being reported and documents conflicting statements. Becomes frustrated verbally if conventional therapy is not helping and does not explain or follow up on new therapies or modalities offered. Very short office times for asking questions. Largest problem is not finding patient credible over a diagnostic procedure without encompassing entire picture being relayed.
