I have been seeing Joy@Lifestance since last June. She has always shown concern and compassion. She has been instrumental in my "recovery" from a very rough spot. I look forward to our sessions and I would HIGHLY recommend her.
This place is a joke. At the start of August I was extremely desperate to find a therapist who can help me with my specific mental health needs. Not just depression and anxiety. I called this place because they take my insurance, whereas most therapists who help treat my particular mental illness do not take any insurance. Called on a Friday to make a first time therapy appointment and they got me in on the following Tuesday very quick! Only issue is they have nobody working the front desk so I waited there for almost an hour because I was told to come in early to fill out patient agreement forms otherwise I could not legally see the therapist and nobody was there to give me the forms and had to ask a random person there who was a different counselor for them. "Ben Twogood at Lifestance is the best counselor i have ever had". That is the first thing my PCA client said when I picked him up from his first appointment. He could not stop talking about how impressed he was with him and how much he enjoyed their first visit. So much so, that he mad an appointment to go back in a week!
I’ve held off on making a much needed therapy appointment for a long time because of horrible past experiences. I scheduled my first 3 appointments (like they recommended) and I have to say this whole experience has been night and day compared to my previous ones. I’ve had 2 appointments with Ben now and I already have benefited so much. More than I ever could have imagined after just 2 sessions!
